This Privacy Policy explains how Ascend Life Coach LLC (d/b/a Resurgo) ("Resurgo," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Resurgo mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By using Resurgo, you agree to this Policy.

Who can use Resurgo

Resurgo is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account details — your name and email address (provided directly or through Sign in with Apple, Google, or email).
• Onboarding & profile — the answers you provide to personalize your plan, which may include your date of birth, sex, height, weight, general location, goals, lifestyle, schedule, motivations, and other context about your life.
• Content you create — your plans, logged activity, notes, reflections, meal choices, and messages you send to your coach.
• Calendar data (only if you connect a calendar): see "Calendar data, including Google Calendar" below.

Information collected automatically

• Usage & device data — how you interact with the app, app version, device type, operating system, and diagnostic/crash data.
• Purchase data — your subscription and purchase status (we receive this from Apple and our billing provider; we never see your card number).

How we use your information

• To create and personalize your plan, coaching, and content.
• To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To process subscriptions and purchases.
• To send you important notices about your account or the Service.
• To keep the Service safe and to comply with the law.

Calendar data, including Google Calendar

Connecting a calendar is optional. If you do, Resurgo builds your plan around the time you are already busy.

What we access

• Google Calendar (read-only). If you sign in with Google and grant calendar access, Resurgo reads the list of your calendars and, for your upcoming events, each event's name, start and end time, and whether it was cancelled. We do not read event notes, locations, or guests. This access is read-only: Resurgo cannot change or delete anything in your Google Calendar through it.
• Your phone's calendar. If you allow it, Resurgo reads upcoming events from the calendars on your phone in the same way, and adds your plan blocks to your calendar so you can see them alongside your day: on Android in a separate calendar named "Resurgo," and on iPhone as events titled "Resurgo: ..." in your default calendar. Resurgo only adds these events; it never edits or deletes your existing events.

How we use it

• Event names and times are shown on your phone, next to your plan, so you can see your whole day in one place. Event names stay on your device.
• To build and update your plan, only the times you are busy are sent to our servers and to our AI provider, labeled "Busy," with no event names or details. They are used to schedule around you and are not stored as part of your account.

What we never do

• We never sell Google user data or any calendar data.
• We never use it for advertising.
• We never use it to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
• No one at Resurgo reads it, except with your permission, for security purposes, or when required by law.

Resurgo's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Turning it off

You can disconnect your calendar at any time from Settings in the app, remove Resurgo's access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or delete your account to remove your data.

AI-generated content

Resurgo uses artificial-intelligence providers to generate your personalized plans, coaching, and other content. To do this, the relevant information you provide is sent to these providers to process on our behalf. They are contractually limited to processing your data for the purpose of delivering the Service. We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers we share data with

We share information only with trusted providers who help us run the Service, and only as needed:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, hosting, analytics, and crash reporting.
• Google Calendar (only if you connect it): read-only access to your events, as described above.
• Apple — sign-in and payment processing.
• RevenueCat — subscription management.
• AI providers (including Anthropic, ElevenLabs, and fal.ai) — to generate plans, coaching, voice, and imagery.
• Analytics/advertising partners — to understand usage and measure marketing.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or in connection with a business transfer.

How long we keep your data

We keep your information while your account is active. If your subscription lapses, your data is preserved (not deleted) so you can pick up where you left off if you return. You can delete your account at any time from within the app, which removes your personal data from our active systems, subject to limited legal or backup retention.

Your choices and rights

• Access & correction — you can view and update much of your information in the app.
• Deletion — in the app, go to Settings → Delete my account → Delete permanently. This immediately and permanently deletes your profile, plan, coach history, and all data we've stored for you. Prefer not to use the app? Email us and we'll delete it for you. Note: deleting your account doesn't cancel an active subscription — cancel that separately through Apple or Google Play, or billing will continue.
• Notifications — control push notifications in your device settings.
• Tracking — on first launch, iOS asks your permission before any tracking for advertising or measurement. If you decline, we don't track you across other apps or websites. You can change this anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Depending on where you live (e.g., California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your data. Contact us to exercise them.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your data.

Data location

Your information is processed and stored in the United States and by our service providers. By using the Service you consent to this processing.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We'll update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email.
